you are correct. I haven’t posted enough lately. I did have that whole vacation thing in there, where I was completely unplugged for 7 nights. That was nice, actually. Nothing like being out of range in a place as beautiful as Yachats, OR.
That was a great trip. Delaney got to play in the sand for the first time ever. She loved it, after we got done helping her figure out that she didn’t really want to eat the sand. Or anything she found in the sand. But that didn’t take long, and she really had a blast. It would have been an even better trip had we been able to stay in the house we usually stay in. However, they are renovation that house this year, so when we return next summer, we’ll have an even nicer place than we are used to. That should be great.
I also lost a camera to the sand. I jumped up to help DMTriafter he fell in the rocks, but my camera was in my lap. It went hard into the sand, filling itself with sand. The lens failed to open again. I am going to send it to Olympus, and see what it will cost to have it repaired, since I really liked that camera’s photos and the 10X optical zoom. It was nice to have that much optical zoom, as compared with the 4x on the replacement camera.
The new camera is a Canon PowerShot A510. Still just a 3.2MP, which I find to be plenty, since 4×6s print just fine at that resolution, and that’s mostly what I print. And it was only $200, which is almost cheap enough to not make me sad that I had to buy it. I was really planning to by a D-SLR before I bought another camera. And so it goes…
Damn, the PowerBook battery is dying. I’m gonna post this now to avoid having to save it. This is a reminder that I should do all my typing/formatting in TextEdit and just copy/paste. Maybe I’ll start doing that. Right.
