There's a song you may or may not be familiar with. It is by a heavy metal band called Queensryche. The album it comes from is called "Empire," and the song is entitled "Silent Lucidity." Listening to the lyrics, it is about the love a parent feels for their newborn child, and welcoming it into the world. It has a beautiful acoustic guitar riff which leads the song. The first time I heard this song on the rasio, I thought it was Pink Floyd, because this song sounds so much like their style. You may do with this info what you will. I hope you, Taylor, and (unborn) child are all doing very well.

Hey, man, I'm glad to hear you're having a great time. I would come by on Sunday to see you, but they probably require that I pay a cover charge just to get in at all. And I don't have a lot of money on-hand right now, so...But, anyway, hope to see you around sometime.

Oregon Country Fair, huh? You know, as a Native Oregonian, born and raised, and, having spent most of my twenty-seven years here in Lane County, you think I would know my home state a little better, but the Fair in Veneta is a phenomenon in which I have never taken participation in. Hell, I wouldn't even know how to get to Veneta without using Mapquest. But, nevertheless, it sounds like a festive occasion, and I encourage any who want to go, that they should. Myself, I'll be listening to Black Sabbath, Tool, Type O Negative, and Cradle of Filth albums and working on new material. And, hopefully, I will get to drink some beer while I'm at it. Cheers to you, Sam, and the rest of you who read this!

My comment for this is: I have no comment. Simply because, people who know my work know that I hold the view of a disinterested voyeur when it comes to politics. Anyone who has read my piece "Experiments," or has heard me read it at open mics, know where I stand on politics, which is very far away from where they attempt to be.

This may be a little late, but I just saw this item which said you were back in town. Welcome back! Glad you're feeling better. I hope to see you at the Slam competitions this Autumn. Though I do not consider myself a "Slam Poet" or a "Competitive Poet," I would like to share my work with you and the Slam crowd; you know, the stuff you guys haven't got to hear because of location or other reasons. Stay creative! (P.S. Sorry I didn't leave my URI. My reason is: I simply don't know what that is. Some nerd I am, huh?)

I would be very sad for the groundhog, maybe try to fix it up with a friend of mine or something. at the very least I would take it to Max's and buy it a beer.

i completely agree with the sanctions idea. force all of those formerly-american companies that have moved overseas or opened maquilladoras on the mexican border to stop trade with the US.

Hell while we're at it, why not get China and Japan to begin calling in some of the debt we've accumulated with them. We would be a 3rd world agrarian economy in a heartbeat. We would be selling off our arms faster than Russia sold off their nukes at the end of the Soviet era.
