Informed, informational, and well written as always–thanks for the list! I’m amused that you struggled for impartiality on what is a subjective list by definition, but I appreciate how serious you take it. Looks like I have some ’splorin to do!

Good write-up, although surprised that you weren’t able to latch on to Milk-eyed Mender at the time. Hope you’ve had a chance to revisit and re-evaluate it since.

It’s 18 months since this album’s release and I still can’t stop listening! The words now inhabit my mind to the extent that as I walked along my local windswept beach recently I found I could recite all of Sawdust and Diamonds, and that’s a lot of words.

You’re right, it’s poetry, and no doubt the classic poetry scholars may scoff, but if there are better written, more beautiful, lyrics in the rock era I’d love to hear them. This CD is a major high point in my 35 years of record buying.

It might make me a n00b…but I had never heard it until about 30 minutes ago waiting in the car for my friend to go into the store to buy cigs when it came on the radio…

I liked it…so I just memorized one line of the lyrics I could be sure to remember when I got home…

the goddamn whistle line from this goddamn song gets stuck in my head for days on end. I seriously can not listen to it ever again for fear of a weeks worth of “twee-twe-twe-twe-twe-twe-twe-twe—twe-twe-twe-twe-twe-twe-twoo” battering around my skull.

It has been so proven that family and/or friends can readliy provide two things without fail: sorrow and hate.

There’s a song you may or may not be familiar with. It is by a heavy metal band called Queensryche. The album it comes from is called “Empire,” and the song is entitled “Silent Lucidity.” Listening to the lyrics, it is about the love a parent feels for their newborn child, and welcoming it into the world. It has a beautiful acoustic guitar riff which leads the song. The first time I heard this song on the rasio, I thought it was Pink Floyd, because this song sounds so much like their style. You may do with this info what you will. I hope you, Taylor, and (unborn) child are all doing very well.

Hey, man, I’m glad to hear you’re having a great time. I would come by on Sunday to see you, but they probably require that I pay a cover charge just to get in at all. And I don’t have a lot of money on-hand right now, so…But, anyway, hope to see you around sometime.

Wait, your daughter is due in 3 weeks? Awesome, another Capricorn for the Tribal masses. Funny thing is, I never knew any caps until the Tribe, and now almost all of the people I know are Capricorns. Congrats! I’m sure you and Jeannie are going to raise two fantastically aware and awesome children to help swing the pendulum back toward the side of sanity.

I, too, am working to kick the PC habit- and once I find out whether I can set up VMWares inside of OSX so I can demo our software I can get funding for a nicely pimped out MacBook. Which is win to the nth degree.

Yes indeed…Oyster shooters are awesome.

Except the one time when I found a slug on the lettuce garnish.

That kinda ruined my apatite that night.

If anyone cant admit to that being the complete truth then the chemicals in the food have done their job of ruining our minds and thought processes. Negative energy indeed.
