It’s Not Your Father’s America Any More

This is really a rather good article detailing some of the Republicans more recent crimes.

A particularly interesting segment:

In the past several weeks, for example, some science museums, mainly in the South, have announced they will no longer show films that discuss evolution, the geology of the Earth or the Big Bang theory for fear of offending people who think such topics contradict the Bible.

Now, why on earth would they want a freaking science museum not to teach science? It’s even more retarded than not wanting it to be taught in schools (which was prior to this, on top of my list of most retarded things religious freaks have done lately). I don’t storm into their houses of delusion and proclaim I’m offended by them talking about how Santa Clause , err…God, created the universe and everything in 7 days. Why bother with science museums? A science museum is a place of learning, a church is a place you go to reaffirm your group delusion. Don’t try to blur the line between those two places. They each have their uses, thank you.

I agree with Bill Maher when he says that all organized religion is really a neurological disorder.

I just remembered something my old neighbor told me the other night. I can’t believe I forgot to mention this, or that it hasn’t been in the forefront of my happiest thoughts since he told me. I don’t really know what happened, I should have been more overjoyed.

But…

The Hick got arrested last week, and T.C. had to go bail him out of jail. How fucking completely badass is that? I know it’s not healthy, but I think I could go a pretty significant period of time taking my happiness only in the self inflicted misfortune of T.C. and The Hick. Unfortunately the arrest wasn’t over anything totally awesome, like D.W.I, or assault with a deadly weapon, or G.T.A. I don’t know what it was for exactly, ex-neighbor didn’t have the details…appearantly The Hick only mentioned it in passing…but one way or another, it resulted in T.C. having to go to the jail, and pay money to get her new guy out from behind bars.

I’m starting to understand what she meant when she said she was bored and more she wanted more excitement. It didn’t strike me at the time that she meant crime, and jails, but whatever floats her boat I guess. I can pretty safely say she has had the first of hopefully many experiences that she never would have had with me. And if she would have had that experience with me, hopefully it would have been for something like blowing up a dam ;), instead of doing whatever dumbass thing The Hick was doing at the time.

My ex and her new guy, lets call them Thundercunt (thanks Ant) and Hick, are really quite the couple. For those who don’t really know the story, I’m not going to go into details right now. I just want to share a little anecdote.

My brother went out to our apartment to pick up a few things yesterday. Namely two office chairs and my mountain bike. T.C. was there and according to my brother, seemed down somewhat…not that we really care. Anyway, in the talking, she mentioned that if we don’t have anywhere to keep the bike, Hick would like to buy it. Dimitri declined much more politely than I would have and left with the bike. When he recounted this story to me, I didn’t think much of it other than “Wow. Yeah right. Are they morons?”

Anyway…last night hanging out with my ex neighbor at Marios, he asks me if I had sold my bike to Hick. I said no, to which he replied, “Oh…well he’s been riding it around. I just saw him out on it on Friday.”

Ultimately it doesn’t matter to me. But the nerve that some people have just boggles me. I now really wish I could have been then when T.C. asked if Hick could buy the damn thing. There are some choice phrases I could have used….such as…

“Why, isn’t riding you enough? Now he wants my bike too?” or “He still hasn’t paid me for the last shit he took” or “I would, but the self destruct mechanism is broken, so it won’t do either of us any good”

Freaking douchebags…all of them.
